TITLE: Can You Judge a Culture You're Not From? VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUbC6swIrew Yo, what up? This is B from the King's Hand. Someone who's outside the culture, it's going to be hard for them to distinguish what's authentic and what's just completely make believe. Especially when you get corporate entities involved or you get a person that's driven by monetizing the situation. When you become a chef and you start to make dishes and you start to make paintings, if you become a painter, start to make music. If you're a musician, what you have in art, it's the essence of reality. That's what authenticity is. It's the essence of reality. It's not reality itself. Meaning that if you paint a picture of a man, when you touch that painting, that is not a real person. That's a picture of a real person. It's a painting of a real person, but it's not a real person. It's kind of like trying to make coffee and you grind the beans, then you put a filter there and then you pour hot water through the filter and through the beans. You don't dump all the beans in your coffee. I think you can tell when a person wasn't part of the culture or there's people in charge that weren't part of the culture or they're trying to manufacture something without having proper representation. I think when it comes to reality and it comes to content and art, I think people want authenticity, but they they don't want reality. They want an essence of reality. I don't think people actually want reality. I don't think they actually want Sylvester Salone or uh Arnold Schwarzenegger to blow up a police station. Yeah, they'll watch it in the movie, but I don't think they really want that in real life. It's similar to any other art. It's like, I need you to act or I need you to put something on display that makes me feel like that. When you put yourself in a position to judge something that you don't really understand the culture of it, then it's hard for you to determine if it's authentic or not. Make sure you subscribe.
